Midterm Project

Design/code a Destination Website

Create a 5-page destination web site for a place you would love to go on vacation. It can be anywhere you want, any time period, any universe. 

Include the following:

  • All pages:
    • Relevant images and text.
    • A page navigation menu. 
    • CTA (call to action) buttons: Contact Us, Book Now, Request Info (buttons do not have to be functional).
    • Footer section with relevant contact information.
  • Homepage:
    • Filename: index.html
    • Introduction about the location. If it's in a different time period, describe the era.
    • Large hero image.
    • Highlights/factoids about the place.
  • Things To Do Page:
    • Filename: activities.html
    • Paragraphs and images describing 3 activities/things to do.
  • Places To Eat Page:
    • Filename: dining.html
    • Paragraphs and images describing 3 restaurants in the area. You might have to make these up, depending on your choice of universe.
  • Design Statement :
    • Filename: statement.html
    • A statement of at least 2-3 full paragraphs explaining your reasons why you chose your visual & interaction design: typeface selection, text placement and size, color palette, images, button styles, button placement, images. 
    • A citation list (with web links) of all text from other sources.  
  • Contact Us:
    • Filename: contact.html
    • A contact form with correct fields/labels for Name, Phone #, Email, and comments section.  Include a submit button.
  • Choose appropriate colors from Colour Lovers or Picular and apply CSS styles to your page
  • Add two coordinating fonts from Google Web Fonts Helper downloaded into a fonts folder.
